How we check prices

Every number on this site comes from a provider’s own website, store or booking system.

Which locations are included

We include every American Heart Association self-guided (RQI) station within 30 miles, in a straight line, of downtown Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Tampa, Nashville, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. The station list starts with CPR Finder, the public directory of RQI stations, which we searched on a dense grid around each city. We spot-checked it against the AHA’s Atlas station finder and added a few stations that providers list on their own sites but that are not on CPR Finder.

That gives 177 bookable locations from 13 providers. Listed stations that cannot be booked are shown but not ranked.

Where prices come from

For each provider we read the price the customer actually pays at checkout: the Shopify or WooCommerce product price, the Acuity Scheduling appointment price, the provider’s own registration system, or the price shown on the location’s booking widget. When a provider’s marketing page and its checkout disagreed, we used the checkout price and noted the difference.

  • Skills only is the hands-on session (HeartCode Part 2) for people who already completed the online course.
  • HeartCode Complete is the online course plus the skills session, sold together.
  • Prices are list prices before tax. They do not include optional add-ons such as printed cards or reschedule protection, and they ignore promo codes.

What we could not price

Code One Safety and Khal's CPR show prices only inside an Enrollware booking page protected by a human-verification check. We did not bypass it, so those locations are listed without prices along with a phone number. CPR Certification Labs and RC Health Services do not sell a skills-only option online, so they appear only under HeartCode Complete.

Providers with no stations in these cities

We also checked Safety Training Seminars and HeartStart CPR. Neither runs a self-guided station within 30 miles of any of the eight cities.

Independence

Affordable CPR is independent. We are not affiliated with the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, RQI Partners, Laerdal Medical or any provider listed here, and rankings are based only on price.
